Import Bluesky posts into WordPress.

Do you have a WordPress-powered website? Do you have a Bluesky account? Then you need Flutter Vault to backup all of your Bluesky posts and show them off at your WordPress site!
Here’s how it works
After installing and activating, you’ll be redirected to the settings page. Follow the instructions on the settings page to find your Bluesky handle, Bluesky DID, and Bluesky App Password. Fill in these three fields and save. Click on Import Now. Next, you can go to your “Flutters” in the admin menu to see the posts that were imported. It didn’t import them all? That’s OK! Go back to settings and press Import Now again. Once all of your Bluesky posts are imported, going forward, the plugin will automatically check for new Bluesky posts every hour.
Also, on the settings page, you get a log so that you can see the plugin working. The log will be erased once a week.
On the front end, go to yoursitehere.com/flutters to see the posts. On the single/permalink page, there will be a link back to the post on Bluesky.
The plugin doesn’t add a bunch of unnecessary code that slows down your website. Instead, it uses WordPress’s default styling and built-in functionality.
Flutter Vault is almost a requirement if you use WordPress and Bluesky. Plus, shouldn’t Bluesky posts be called Flutters? Make that a thing.
Potential FAQs
- Q: Why didn’t the plugin import my post’s video?
- A: Currently, Flutter Vault will import text and an image. It will not import videos because those can be huge, and many people host WordPress on a cheap shared hosting plan. It would be too intense to import huge videos. But people can always click a link to see the full Bluesky post over on Bluesky!
- Q: I went to /flutters and got a 404 error. Why?
- A: You may need to flush your permalinks. Go to Settings, Permalinks, and Save.
