Energy

Energy

I’ve been composing new electronic music over the past several months here and there and it’s ready to be released. The album is called Energy and it’s my first and probably only full length release for 2026.

It’s mostly electronic sounds (like most of my “Breathing in and out” music) played and recorded using a midi keyboard controller, however, like other electronic albums of mine I’ve mixed in guitar and a couple of other interesting sounds here and there.

The guitar I used is my acoustic mini Taylor. It’s my newest guitar and I find that the smaller size fits my body/hands better. Admittedly, it’s not as full bodied or as loud as a standard dreadnought, but still my favorite guitar right now thanks to the smaller neck.

I experimented a little more with auto panning on this album. I didn’t want to over do it, but it’s featured in a few tracks. Sometimes obviously, sometimes subtly.

I’ll mention one other tidbit about Water, the last track. The water sound is my kids’ inflatable pool filling up with the garden hose. 🙂

I love creating music like this because of the fact that I can mix electronic keyboard/synth/pad sounds, my guitar, and various random other recordings together to create a true work of auditory art.

Perhaps the best use of music like this is just putting it on in the background while you work.

I’m cool with being in the background.
